March 26, 1976 An uneasy marriage . . . Neighborhood health clinics want a divorce from Council of Government (COG) by Terence Curran: Pueblo NHC made a bid to divorce intself from the control of COG members refused to act on the request.
June 10, 1976 Pressured out, Duran resigns chairmanship of Neighborhood Health Centers: City Councilman Isaac Duran has resigned as board chairman for Pueblo NHC because of a letter from Roberto Quiroz, director of the Spanish Peak Mental Health Center, wrote a letter for him to resign.
July 23, 1976 NHC wants to buy medicial clinic by Terence Curran: The Local Council of Government delayed a decision on a request for authority of the NHC to purchase a medical facility building.
August 17, 1976 2 Professionals added to centers: Dr. Richard Rivera has added 2 new staff members. Dr. John F. Radebaugh, a former medical director, and Steven W. Quakenbush.
September 9, 1976 'Dear Teddy' Health center backers seek Kennedy's support by Hugh Cox: Supporters of Pueblo NHC sent a telegram to Sen. Ted Kennedy, asking him to do something about the fact that local pliticians who are mostly Democratic have refused to appove certain NHC funding requests.
May 4, 1977 Health centers' future looks good by Don Prather: Although Pueblo's NHC has faced a lot of struggles, they arer expanding the program, with 3 of the 4 centers completed and NHC staff scheduled to get a new home this summer.
March 16, 1978 NHC's finacial deals questioned by Terence Curran: The Denver office of the Department of of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW) have questions about the financial management of Pueblo's NHC.
