Wednesday March 11, 1970: Hopper Orders SCSC Pubs Closed (Student Proest Decision) by Margie Wood: Dr.Hopper indefinitely closed beer pubs on both campuses of SCSC. The student government members of SCSC were displeased with Dr.Hopper's actions and disregard of the student referendum.

Pueblo Star Journal Thursday May 13, 1971: Dr. Hopper Outlines Stand On Demands by Chicanos: Dr. Hopper states that only the Coard of Trustees of State Colleges and Gov. John A. Love are in postition to make demands of any other person or group. The Brown Berets of La Raza Unida had a list of demands for Dr. Hopper and entered his office. Dr. Hopper commented on the groups rudeness.
